About the Conference

Over the past 12 years, the International Russian Higher Education Conference held within HSE University hosted more than 4000 participants, including such leading scholars in higher education research as Simon Marginson, Philip Altbach, Ulrich Teichler, Ellen Hazelkorn, Manja Klemenčič, John Meyer and other world-known experts. 

RHEC has become an important venue for academics, institutional leaders and practitioners to share diverse perspectives and gain deeper insights about what makes university systems tick, which strategies modern universities should best opt for to spark relevant and sustainable social contributions going forward, and how all of these processes and mechanisms – both individually and as a whole – relate to fundamental socioeconomic factors and development drivers within broader settings.

By hosting a multidisciplinary mix of plenary discussions and special sessions, RHEC affords its participants abundant opportunities for networking and debate.
